Happy Fall, Y'all!
Though it's still pretty hot out there, the leaves are beginning to change, kids are back to school and the pumpkin spice is out (for better or for worse). It's harvest time!

Hello Neighbors!
As I'm sure you're well aware, The Board is still working diligently towards financing our pool repairs. Unfortunately, due to some extensive damage to the retaining ponds last year and various other unexpected expenses, we do not currently have the funds to complete said repairs.
This is where you come in: vote YES on the special assessment and pitch in a small portion. Only $160 per house and we can save our pool! Remember, the pool is not only a fun amenity, but it also increases our property values.
To see the long and storied history of our pool struggles over the summer, please see the "2022 Pool Updates" section on this website. There's another "Special Assessment Vote" section, as well, which explains all the details about voting, including a link to a blank ballot in case you need one.
Friendly Reminders
Pet Compliance
Hello Neighbor!
It has been brought to our attention from multiple sources that there is an abundance of dog poop scattered throughout the neighborhood. With that in mind, we are issuing this friendly reminder to all pet owners to please clean up after their pets.
We all understand that the task of picking up your dog’s leavings is a gross and thankless job, but unfortunately it’s a necessary one. Not only does it show respect for the neighborhood and other homeowners, but our bylaws are very clear on the subject:
“Any excrement deposited by an animal on any portion of the Property shall be promptly removed and appropriately disposed of by the owner of any such animal.”
—Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions for Cottages of Stockton, Article VII, Section 4
This bylaw applies in Ebenezer Village as well. Should you be found in violation of this—or any other—bylaw, you face a potential fine over the infraction. You may now consider yourself amply warned. As many in the community not only have cell phone cameras but also doorbell surveillance, your chances of getting caught are relatively high. So please, be courteous and clean up after your pet.
Thank you in advance for being a responsible pet owner. Every resident will appreciate your consideration.

Halloween is coming and you know what that means, don't you? Decorations, trick-or-treating and all kinds of spooky fun!
*** *** ***
To stay SAFE while you're having fun on the big night, don't forget to:
1. WALK, don't run from house to house.
2. BEWARE any open flames, like candles in Jack-o-Lanterns.
3. CHECK your candy before eating it! Better yet, let Mom and Dad take a look first.
4. WEAR comfy shoes and make sure you can see properly through your mask (if wearing one). It's also a good idea to put on something reflective or light colored so that cars can see you coming. Wash off any makeup right away when you get home to prevent skin irritation.
5. DON'T FORGET your cell phone!
If you remember these safety tips and tricks, you'll enjoy your treats all the more at the end of the night.

Teal Pumpkin Initiative
Also, please consider putting out non-edible treats -- stickers, erasers, toothbrushes, glow sticks, small toys, etc -- for those children who suffer from food allergies. Everyone should get to participate, even if they can't eat candy. If you have non-edible treats available, make sure to put out a TEAL PUMPKIN to let people know.
